Nottingham’s finest, Animist, returns to Robsoul with a brand-new EP, teaming up with close friends Jakki D and Don Vella for a seriously funky package primed for the summer dancefloor.
Leading the release is ‘Supa Dupa’, a floor-percolating cut driven by a slick funk guitar line, killer vocal and a healthy dose of trippy talk-box trickery. Jakki D steps up on remix duties alongside Kinky Movement, adding extra weight, bump and shuffle, all locked around a superb bassline.
Closing out the EP is Animist’s ‘Trolloid’, a stripped-back yet funky tech bumper that taps directly into our inner cyborg dancer.
A playful, groove-heavy return to Robsoul, with Animist and friends bringing the funk from Nottingham to the dancefloor.
