Five years on from the release of Influences Vol. 2 on Robsoul Recordings, Lyon-born producer Lekind returns to launch the summer season with Influences Vol. 3 – a fresh collection of grooves shaped by the sounds that continue to inspire him.
Digging deep into his personal record collection, Lekind sneaks samples, absorbs moods, and reinterprets moments from the past into a record that feels both nostalgic and unmistakably current. Across five cuts, Influences Vol. 3 channels classic textures and timeless dancefloor energy through his signature warm, groove-led approach.
Opening with the aptly titled ’69Swing’, Lekind sets the tone immediately — filters fired, rhythms rolling, and the floor in motion. ‘House Don’ follows with straighter drums, reversed rides and a heavyweight kick, before the rich, warm funk of ‘In Motion’ takes centre stage. ‘The Midnight Sound’ cuts, chops and splices with precision while keeping momentum locked, before the EP settles into the purring, deeper shades of closing track ‘Hardfloor’.
