Info:

It’s been a minute since we caught up with Justin Joe, who in 2024 urged us to ‘Hold On’ with his signature blend of bump and soul. Meanwhile, Irish selector-turned-producer Denats featured on Robsoul last spring with the off-kilter charm of ‘A Lot Of Weirdos’. Now, the pair unite to kickstart 2026 with a release that feels both natural and meticulously crafted.
Some link-ups happen overnight. This one simmered.
Across a year of studio sessions and shared ideas, Denats and Justin Joe gradually shaped a sound that honors classic jackin’ house foundations while leaning confidently into modern club pressure. The result is ‘The One Let Me’ –  groove-led, personality-driven, and built for dancers who like their heads down and their hips moving.
The title track sets the tone with a rubbery, funk-laced bassline wrapped in warm vocal flourishes and crisp string stabs, equal parts soulful and driving. ‘Ask’ follows with a sun-drenched shuffle, pairing introspective vocal lines with sparkling keys and a low-end bounce that feels tailor-made for that first open-window session of the year. Closing cut ‘On A Chain’ turns up the intensity: a cyber-charged jack workout packed with punchy horns, echo-drenched vocals and razor-sharp filter play…  A high-impact finale designed for peak-time mischief.
Carefully assembled and patiently perfected, ‘The One Let Me’ is a three-track statement piece primed to usher in brighter days and longer nights.
