Robsoul welcomes back Lekind with his Shadow Boxing EP – a raw, MPC-built tribute to underground house, bursting with groove, soul, and personality.
The title track, ‘Shadow Boxin‘, delivers a knockout punch, sampling his favourite Soul legend and flipping her vocals and guitar loops through gritty MPC filters. “Just like shadow boxing, the track hits you straight on,” says Lekind.
‘Feel Like Making Love’ keeps things warm and heady with lush chords, deep basslines, crisp percussion, and a beautiful vocal from a Brazilian heroine – a reminder that the world needs more love on the dancefloor and beyond.
Closing out the EP is ‘House Fetish’, inspired by late-night city walks and the dark, cinematic mood of Frank Miller’s Sin City. Built around a moody Rhodes-and-horn sample, bass from a classic Roland MC303, and MPC magic, this one’s guaranteed to give you goosebumps under the spotlights.
