Having bared his EGO back in May 2015 and then more of his skills on a contribution to the Robsoul Edits collection earlier this year, long time label buddy JOSS MOOG returns with a fresh selection of beats on ’Triple Loop’.
Belying its name, we’re treated to four new sure shots from Moog who, renowned in the art of sculpting perfect party jams, has delivered once again. The stripped and simple vocal loop of the title track opens the EP, followed by the warm, buzzing bass and smooth jazzy keys of ‘Etincelles’.
On the flip the Frenchman funks things up and breaks out the snares. Disco stabs, vocal drops and rasping hats are all woven together to emphasise the classic groove. These are the breaks… Amen. Back on the 4×4 to close and Josh lets the piano lead the dance on the smooth and soulful finalé of his latest Robsoul treat.
