The soulful jazzy licks of Around7 have seen him feature regularly on Robsoul and our sister imprint Robsoul
Jazz. Following on from last years superb ‘Final Cuts’ albums that saw him craft a wonderful collection of Hip-
Hop inspired beats and his equally inspired and well supported Soul Kiss EP, Around7 is back with ‘Swing66’.
Staying on trend opening cut and title track Swing66 leads with its smokey piano melody and stroking of the
ride. The stripped back hand claps and bass of World of Low is the perfect club tool, and we’re treated to
another on the crisp, filtered gospel of I Luv Donuts. Around7 may have saved the best till last, as Knit & Hook
closes the Ep with its smooth pulsing synth melody. Overall another strong collection of jazzy house tools from
the Frenchman.
