Robsoul give a warm welcome to Phil Nobel and Ricardo Martins aka Sonz Of The Pitch, as they drop their label debut ‘Da Onda’.
A new release and a fresh collaboration, as Belgian producer and label owner Nobel joins forces with Portuguese DJ Martins to unveil what is only their second release together. With many more on the horizon this talented duo showcase talent for crafting sample-loaded house jams that are fuelled by the rhythms of Funk, Soul, Disco and Samba.
Da Onda opens with its smooth guitar licks, warm grooving bass and the sound of the sea lapping at our feet. The vocal tells us to ‘Hold On’, but we’re not going anywhere, as the sunshine vibes continue on the accompanying Dub Mix.
The Brazilian rhythms flow on ‘Favela Queen’, with its laid-back groove and traditional percussion. The Latin vibe takes hold as the track delivers a flood of favela flava. Final cut ‘Milkshake’ sees us chasing the sun again, with its disco strokes and hooky vocal and weighty bassline, it rounds out this is perfect collection of summer jams.
