Good citizens of house republic, we bring you ‘Public State’. A safe space. A groovy space. A space created by DJ GgDeX. Previously spotted on Robsoul VAs, here the Italian artist makes his label EP debut with four cuts that take across the entire vista from deep jazzy house to pristine rave echoes and euphoria. Following releases on the likes of Mole Music and City Noises, each track on the EP builds up in energy and momentum. ‘Public State’ is cool in its restraint and stately keys, ‘Site Map’ ups the ante with its crisp 808 drive, clipped jazzy keys and spiralling FX, ‘The Space’ lays down thick weaves of acid over more warm, unhurried keys before ‘Away’ brings home the euphoric bacon with big keys, classic rave FX and a feel good factor so strong you can almost hear the lockdowns ending. This is a Robsoul state of mind.
