Originally released last year on Sonar Kollectiv as the lead single on their long awaited second album ‘Between Us’, the original has become a cult hit. Robsoul bossman Phil Weeks and longstanding Chi-town ally DJ Sneak are big fans… So they’ve added their own twists.
Licensed to Robsoul, both remixes take us deep into the roots. Sneak goes back to his blue funk phase for a low and slow roast that hits so many spots. Woozy chords. Deep nodding. The type of house these times were made for. Similarly Phil gets jiggy on a slinky, sultry note. Utilising the original’s poignant chords and re-sculpting them with a tight loop of the vocal, it’s the type of groove that’ll have you picking up the phone all day long.
