Info
Strictly V/A business from Phil Weeks’ Robsoul family: three tracks from three exciting house music artists, three reasons to turn off all notifications, turn up the volume and turn your day around…
Having soundtracked most of our year with his killer album ‘Another Day Another Dollar’, Oliver Dollar takes the lead. Linking up with good friend Brillstein, ‘Cheeky Switch’d’ is nothing short of a filtered feel-good funk up with loops and curves in all the right places. John Pridgen follows with ‘Live For The Funk’, a much tougher, stripped-back hip-basher where the bassline does all the talking and a killer rise comes out of nowhere and sweeps your off your feet.
Gabriel Sordo has the honour of closing business for this session with the sublime ‘Muan’. Dubby, sultry, trippy, there’s a reason he’s appeared on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Kindisch, Deeperfect and Voltaire this year.
Turn off, turn up, turn it around: Robsoul have delivered something special here…
